Garry's research interests are in the field of distributed systems middleware, with a particular focus on resource management, cluster and Grid infrastructures, Java message passing environments and complex systems.

Garry is currently employed by two departments (Systems Engineering and Neurosicence) within the University of Reading to work on Cloud and Virtual Research Environment related projects.
