This portlet uses HP's Sematic Web technologies Jena and Joseki that allows a user to browse and edit their preferences, which are held in local or remote RDF data stores. This prototype demonstrates the use of RDF for storing potentially unstructured information.
Users of the VRE will be able to access Semantic Web technologies form portals, which allow them to store and modify user preferences. The Resource Description Framework (RDF) can represent information on the Web, allowing users preferences to be accessible from different locations.
