Abstract:
The OMII Development Kit is a collection of grid middleware with a common platform and security layer across all components. The various components may be combined in a flexible manner to set up the services needed for any given application.
This talk will concentrate on two of the components: GridSAM, and OMII-AuthZ. GridSAM is one of the cornerstones of the OMII DevKit, supplying job execution services with a variety of back-end execution environments. OMII-AuthZ is a newly-delivered system currently being integrated into the OMII DevKit, which allows fine-grained authorisation of service functions to be applied to any service running in the OMII container. The talk will go into some of the architectural details of GridSAM and OMII-AuthZ, and discuss some of the past and current issues in the implementations of the two components.
